the holidays have ended about twenty plus minutes ago. a rather memorable week for me. first was class outing then swift race and then yesterday's match.
class outing was great! i must say this class outing gave our class a whole new way of communicating with each other. it also made me realise that there is something wrong with me. my aiming sucks. no, it is not because i suck or the machine is spoilt. this is what i came to just recently after i ran tests on myself by going to the arcade more often: despite changing my aiming eye from left to right, my left eye is still my dorminant eye. this means that i got two choices. i either hold the gun with my left hand or shoot with my left eye closed. damnit, no more great ns days i am looking forward to. nevertheless, there is still time. my solution is that i should go to the arcade more often to practice ^^.
now about the swift race. it sucked. i started off brightly and was within the top 10. i thought i could finish within the top 15. i was terribly wrong. although there were around mayb a little over a hundred students my age running, i overestimated myself. i just cannot find a proper reason to why i didnt do a gd timing. was it wed's workout? the route at turf city?my lack of confidence?my overconfidence?my start?my warm up?or do i just purely suck? that race rly affected me. i could nt concentrate on my next training. but who cares? it has already passed and i've learnt from it. i think it's time to own again.
finally, our soccer match against kenneth's church friends. the pitch was awful; it was uneven and it has a small hill at one end. at least it was close to the size of a full length soccer field. i realised that one required a great deal of stamina and endurance just to sustain on the pitch for 90mins. the heat, the pressure and all the running will drain a player out easily. despite this, we won with the score of 6-0. this match was when i realised that it is nt easy to play any position on the field. as a left back, i was always out of position and i hesitate too often. it was quite fun tho, although my attemps to overlap ended up in failure, i managed to snuff out a few attacks. overall, everyone played well. great game guys!
school begins later today. back to the monotonous lessons where the teachers just blabber non-stop. however, there are still other things to look forward to. for example, street soccer, friends and of course, the eoy holidays.
